More Snow In The Valley

A little more snow hit the ground mixed with some rain. The resulting slush isn't nearly as nice as the fluffy stuff from last week, but I'll take what I can get. Traffic has been a joke this morning. Three wrecks between my house and the coffee shop. People here really lack common sense when it comes to driving in these conditions. It's not the snow that is the problem. It's the fact that we almost always have a layer of ice underneath.

The Sleeping Orchard

One of the hazelnut orchards just up the road from my house. The snow makes everything so quiet and peaceful. All you hear is the snow crunching under foot.

If you walk down one of the rows of trees very far, it's like another world. We don't get a lot of snow, maybe that's why I like it so much. Everything looks so different with a dusting of powder.

This little barn sits just north of High Pass and Territorial Road. It really looked nice covered with snow.

Hope Abby is a mausoleum at the Masonic cemetery in Eugene. Most the streets here in town are named after people buried here. It has seen better days but there is now a restoration project underway.

New Year's "Revolution"!

It's time to get those wheels turning again. Slacked off for the past couple of months, but no-more! Back to 150 miles a week. Note the nice road gunk! This is what you get here in the valley this time of year (NASTY!).
